Start your weekend break off right with a good meal and a glass of wine. Head to one of the many great restaurants in Cape Town. The city has great diversity in its food choices, from traditional African food to Mediterranean cuisine to world-class grills and seafood. Anything your heart desires you will be able to find.
Saturday morning
Saturday mornings are the best time for a hike. Cape Town has many great hiking spots, and you can read about some of our favourites here. We recommend a sunrise hike on Lion’s Head, or if you’re up for it, a hike up Table Mountain.

Saturday afternoon
What better way to cool down after a hike than a trip to the beach? We’d recommend going to Camps Bay – here you can have something to eat and drink at one of the many restaurants on the beachfront, take a dip in the ocean, and work on your tan. You can read about our other beach recommendations here. Cape Town beaches are also the perfect spot for sunsets. Bring a bottle of champers and your best golden light photoshoot outfit. Saturday evening
While in the Mother City, you have to experience the nightlife; luckily, Cape Town has something for everyone! If you are a party animal, head out to one of the many bars and clubs and dance all night long. For those who prefer a more cultural evening, check out one of the many shows Cape Town has to offer – whether its comedy, ballet, opera, musicals, art exhibitions, or museum nights, there will be something that tickles your fancy.
Sunday morning
Sunday mornings are for taking things slow and what better way to spend it than sauntering around Cape Town looking for your next favourite clothing item? The city has some amazing thrifting spots, which you can read about here. Don’t miss out on these gems.

Sunday afternoon
As a final treat before heading home and getting back to work, head to one of the many wine farms close to Cape Town for a wine tasting and Sunday lunch. Be sure to book beforehand, as this is a popular Sunday activity. Some of our favourite wine farms include Groot Constantia, Babylonstoren, and Durbanville Hills.
And just like that, the weekend is over. You’ll be planning your next trip before you get home! If you want any further recommendations or have any questions, please reach out to our friendly team who will be more than happy to assist you.
